I know, it’s once again a distraction from completing my unfinished projects and therefore the last thing I need, but I’m currently trying to finish off a cushion cover in tones of orange and pink. You see, I became rather fixated on this crochet pattern for a flower puff granny square and after figuring out the instructions (in American crochet terms, and slightly confusing wording, here) I had to make some. There is a cushion on the sofa which looks strangely bare and unadorned, and the plan is to make a double-sided cover out of the shades of leftover yarn I had which don’t really fit into my leftovers-patchwork crochet blanket.
I’m now over halfway through my plan of 32 flower puff squares, so whilst the extra project wasn’t really ideal, at least it contributes to my attempt to use up my yarn stash. And that’s something to be thankful for.
