Last Thursday, to celebrate 50 performances of Rocky Horror, my colleague Oliver (playing Frank’n'Furter in the show) threw us a divine little soirée entitled FISH AND FIZZ. As usual I put myself in the role of event photographer, fluttering around the dressing room whilst imbuing myself with glassfuls of champagne, prosecco and cava, and nibbling on delicious seafood titbits – including delicious cupcakes trimmed with prawn mallow sweets provided by MotherThornton. It was a huge success! Nearly everyone came (cast and backstage staff), and the food all went. Fizz was practically forced down us as the stage door keeper tried in vain, again and again, to usher us out of the building. Theatre ain’t all glamour and glitz, but it’s nice to put aside the costumed glitter for a few hours to indulge in sophisticated-looking behind-the-scenes fun once in a while.
And my outfit? I was going for ’1960s/Japanese/NY/beatnik’, a vintage haori jacket thrown over my blacks. Oliver stayed his charming self, in tailoring and tweeds.
To more parties, I say!

Fantastic photography! Looks like it was a great party. And Iove your Japanese beatnik outfit.
Cheers, thank you. I tend to slink around getting snap-happy at events and don’t get photographed myself, so this time I insisted!
