I do normal 1920s/orientalist thing; the Beau does normal 1970s-esque thing.
I hauled myself to the theatre to work on New Year’s Eve for a late-night show. We did the countdown with the audience and then seemed to spend most of the night dressing up and guzzling champagne and prosecco. I took loads of photos - most of the boys dragged up – and have discovered a new interest and perhaps ambition: to capture life on tour like Nan Goldin. (Minus the wife-battering!!) I don’t think I can really publish them all on here though…maybe when we’re all older!

A lot of people decided to do fancy-dress but I wore an amazing 1920s silk evening dress I found at the flea market in Bath. I’ve been wearing it non-stop at every occasion possible since buying it! Sadly this is the only shot I found on my camera which shows a bit more of the dress, so I’ll have to show you more another time:
Two girls in their 20s dress 1920s ish.
I am with beautiful Eleanor who I went to uni with and works at the theatre (small world!).
Despite being ill, and with making the firm decision to put myself to bed before it got too late, it was probably the best fun I’ve had on new year’s eve for a while. Not getting too wasted turns out to be a really good idea!
I hope you all had fun doing whatever you got up to as well! Best wishes for 2013!
