Just thought that I would write and share these photos taken at our gig on Friday. It was such great fun, performing to an enthusiastic and supportive crowd (thanks so much to everyone that came along; I was most surprised at the amount of strangers that turned up…!) who all pandered very nicely to my requests for audience participation. We received such lovely feedback too, which is always wonderful. Singing into such a good microphone was an amazing experience; I hardly had to work at all. I brought my ukulele along for our final song, which added a fun bit of texture to the accompaniment, and seems to be a very photogenic instrument!
I’m not sure why but most of the ‘official’ photographs seem to be of me, not Francis. I also have to post this one of these cool Japanese people who came and sat at the front. Not being a photojournalist, I didn’t dare ask them if I could photograph them (& their outfits) but thankfully someone did. I’m just sad that this photo isn’t in colour.
Beautiful Liila (left) and friends.
Post-gig photo opportunity by a telephone box. I wore a 1960s cheong sam dress made by my great-aunt who used to be a tailor in Singapore.
