knitting like flowers

Who ever knew that knitting a woollen jumper in June would turn out to be a good idea? My second ‘Enchanting’ sweater may well be worn this summer after all.

This knit was coming along quite swiftly until I suddenly realised that I had a deadline to meet. I’ve just managed to resume knitting once more. I still feel slightly confused as to whether I like the colours or not. I do however like the look of this sleeve all curled up! I’m also enjoying the fabled ‘alpaca halo’ of the yoke and sleeve sections.

The opium poppies in the garden have suddenly opened up this last week, amazing colours and heads of blossom. They have been around for years and years; I think that some cross-pollination has been going on as some of the colours look more unusual this year.

This one is not an opium poppy, but so beautiful.

this is coming along beautifully, you are very quick. Those opium poppies are amazing too, I have never seen one before, they look rather like peonies. Oh and thanks to your knitspiration I knitted my first sock yesterday! It’s more hole than sock but I am hopeful :-)

They are fantastic, I admit I haven’t seen them in too many people’s gardens, I think they must be double- or even triple-bloom flowers. Wonderful to hear about the knitspiration, I look forward to seeing the finished socks!

  2. I like the colours, looking forward to seeing it when it is done :)
